Journey
From charcoal to contemporary painting
Her artistic journey began at fifteen, when a fountain pen given by her mother sparked an interest in drawing and the precision of gesture. At the Maison pour tous in Recouvrance, Brest, she discovered charcoal, her first major field of exploration.
Material constraints prevented her from attending art school at the time. She chose another path, learning in particular from the painter Barazer in Roscoff and later alongside other artists. This independent route allowed her to develop a personal, open and demanding practice.
Observing, learning and trying: that is how my painting found its direction.

Process
Charcoal, acrylic, oil and materials: a free practice
Nassera works across the nude, portraiture, figurative painting and abstraction. She develops her work through series and experiments, with a practice that is now focused and consistent.
Each work is built through observation, adjustment and layering. Technique remains at the service of the subject: the balance of a silhouette, the tension of a colour or the openness of a background.

In Brest, learning to draw gave her the first technical foundations, while charcoal revealed the full strength of line, tone and contrast.
Away from a conventional academic path, she sustains her curiosity through practice, encounters and continuous learning that gradually refines her technique.
Her first exhibition at ASFAD marked an important milestone. After a pause, she has now returned to painting at a steady pace of one to two canvases a week, ready to present a body of work she fully embraces.
